I am Paul and I am new to the Fabkit Community. I work together with my wife in her company Poetoeter
We already have a chinese laser cutter for nearly 2 years, and recently ordered a Fabkit Pro (yes, the Pro, not the MK5) from Fabcreator, expecting it in september.
Also, we rent working space from accross the hall of FabCreator, so we frequently talk to Bonne in real life.
Awaiting the Fabkit Pro we borrowd a Fabkit mk5, and we’ve been running some tests and proto types of products on these. Until now the machine works mostly as a charm, we’ve had 2 small issues with it during 2 very different jobs.
Personally I got the feeling that this might be the effect of working with LaserWeb, and therefore I am also starting with Lightburn on this MK5. As we use engraving a lot, lightburn is definitely the preferred piece of software for us.
Attached a picture of one of the first things we’ve done on the fabkit, just a bunch of names cut out. As we have quite some experience with a chinese Ruida based cutter, this was easy-peasy after finding out the right feedrates and power levels.
